Project 5 // Bacardi 'Disappearing Billboard'

Description:

For Bacardí and Beneath the Waves collaboration announcement, we wanted to launch a partnership for good in a way that did good for the ocean. To do this, we would create the first ever billboard made to disappear for good. Seagrass meadows capture and store hundreds of years of carbon capture at a rate 30x faster than rainforests as they disintegrate. Our billboards, made from Bacardí's sugarcane bagasse waste, would be placed in popular beaches with threatened seagrass meadows. The billboards would gradually disintegrate while dispersing the fertilizing bagasse over time, strengthening the meadows as they break down.

Hannah and Dani developed this idea for an ESG brief from insight to full blown activation in the hopes it might one day happen (here's to hoping).
